A friend of mine bought a new Sub2000 today, partly on my recomendation. We`d found a good price on Scherer 33rd. mags and figured it would be worth getting the Glock variant in order to use them. We were both a little perplexed when the Scherer mags fit very loosely and barely locked up. :scrutiny: He tried several and that were all like this. From what I understood the Sub2000 is subosed to take any post drop free hi caps so what gives? Go the G17 mags do the same thing? Have any of you guys run into this? Marcus

why don't you try to get them to replace the mag.......i bought a long 40 mag years ago and it split open at the top and i could never get them to answer mail and i haven't checked lately but it was one of those places that doesn't have a phone either.....screw Scherer mags for my part.......almost forgot--a buddy bought one of their "drop free" mag tubes the other day and guess what-------i wouldn't drop free......DICK

Marcus- i don't have any scherrer's but i have a full cap 17 mag and have had no problems. i added a plus two base to it and it holds 19 rds. i also have two pro mag cheapie full caps and they work just fine in my sub 2k- although i don't know how long they will last because they have no metal feed lips- but at $25 verses almost $100 for Glock factory i can live with it.the promag that i added a plus two base to it holds 20 rds, and is a non drop free. i also like the looks of the factory mags as they don't extend down so far- the plus twos only extend the handle another inch and a half. hope this helps ya.

Marcus- not to take away from this fine forum- but a good place for anything Kel-Tec related is the forums at www.ktog.org - the sub is covered under the rifles .there are quite a few posts about scherrer mags there.
