I started playing with 9x23 Winchester. It appears that plain old 9x19 dies will work fine. My Lee carbide sizer gives me a base diameter of .387 and a rim diameter of .376. I believe this is the tight end of the spec for 9x23. It appears that the 9x19 dies will work fine. Anybody else find this to be true?

Yes, I have used RCBS 9 x 19 mm carbide dies to load 9 x 23 mm Winchester cases, as well as Starline 9mm Supercomp cases. No problems whatsoever. :)

Many folks do use 9x19 dies to include in Dillon and other high volume presses.
I've never heard of a problem.
Notice the 9x23 has had no SAAMI spec chambers and some of the smiths known for 9x23 guns have their own reamer designs, to include differences of opinon on the throat - what would be free bore in a rifle. To speak of tight end of the spec for 9x23 may assume a precision that isn't really there.

I've also been having an 0AL issue. In theory the magazine on the Witness should take cartridges that are at least the same length as the 10mm. The factory mag takes 1.25 no problem. The Mecgar I bought won't.
