Read this really scary article about an unknown disease sweeping across Asia with victims already reported in North America (i.e. Canada):

With all the other problems going in our world, this is just another thing to be concerned with!
:uhoh: :uhoh: :uhoh:
This mystery disease has already been called a "worldwide health threat" by the World Health Organization!

Twoblink,

If you hear somebody cough, cover your nose & mouth, turn upwind and run like a gazelle.
Yeah, it's pretty scary stuff.
On the historical side, I read a couple of years ago that the WW I-era flu pandemic may have started just a few miles west of where I sit typing this. Ft. Riley, KS is thought by some to have been ground zero for that little episode...

It's already in the US (New York & Georgia), but oddly enough the doctors don't know if its a virus or bacteria. One American has already died, has flu like symptoms, and it acts quickly.

I think this is clearly way off the l&p reservation.
Alternate topics would be whether the response by the CDC, WHO, and various other governments and entities are doing anything useful besides causing panic, or whether the quarantine in Germany is legal.
Closed.
