Okay I just finished up my first detail strip of my Glock 22, and one thing I wanted to double check before I took her to the range was what kind of internal lubrication does a Glock need at that level? Do I oil everything down, nothing, just the trigger bar, etc? I know where to oil when I field strip, I'm just looking for info on where to oil on a detail strip in addition to the normal spots.

I cleaned up everything with CLP so it's got a bit of lube from that, I'm just curious if it needs more anywhere in particular.

I just put the light lube where it's called for in the field strip & everything runs just fine!!

Keep the striker and its channel free of lube.

Did you get the slide stop spring on top of the upper locking block pin?

I won't tell how I know about this, but it does cause some pretty serious problems with match scores when the slide stop engages on EVERY SHOT!!!!!

Roger on the striker and striker channel, would CLP be okay there, or should it be completely dry?

I'm thinking a little bit right were the trigger bar engages the connector, and a bit were the striker engages as well. Basically were you want to clean up on a polish job (which is the next thing on my list to do).

Yep got the spring in the right place, saw enough mentions of that everywhere to double check I did it right :)

The striker, striker channer, striker spring, etc, should all be bone dry and free of lube.

Put a little oil (or preferably grease) on the trigger bar where it contacts the connector, on the locking block, and on the slide rails. I also sometimes put a dab of lube on the firing pin block plunger.
