Regardless of the Glock stance on "ballistic fingerprinting" I found this story an interesting read:

The problem with the arrogance of geniuses is that they often do not recognize the limits of their expertise.

A gun that retails for $500 can be manufactured for $75, and the company has a pretax margin nearing 60%
This and his affinity for authoritarians were the most interesting.

Pretty good story. Mr. Machan seems to be a gifted writer. I suspect he'll have a good career writing fiction.

2 men get 37 years for hammer attack
LUXEMBOURG - An investment broker and a former wrestler who tried to murder Austrian gunmaker Gaston Glock with a rubber hammer were jailed for a total of 37 years on Wednesday.
Charles Ewert, who handled Glock's investments in Luxembourg, was sentenced to 20 years after he was convicted of attempted murder by a Luxembourg court. Former French Legionnaire Jacques Pecheur, who once wrestled under the name "Sparta," was jailed for 17 years for his role in carrying out the assault.
Glock, in his 70s, suffered seven hammer blows to the head during the attack, but when police arrived they found it was Pecheur who was passed out on top of the gunmaker. Glock escaped serious injury.
