What's the largest # of guns you ever purchased in the shortest period of time?

We are up to six in the last month. I think we'd better slow down. The credit card bills are starting to look scary. Four of the six were C&R, though.

Never more than three in one day. :)

And that has happened only once.
I was in uniform that day. Postal service uniform. :D

I bought three in one day from different sources. A SKS, AR-7, and a rare bent bolt 91/30. I did have seven transactions in July 2002. But three in one day is the most in the shortest time.

March 16, 2003, 01:36 PM
Two in one day. The day I got my SKS I stopped by a friend's house to show it to him and bought a Lorcin 380 from him. I don't know why. I guess I was still excited over getting the SKS.

of course, I only own 6 guns total, and only starting buying them early last year.

Two in one day: my first six-inch Python and a pre-agreement Smith & Wesson model 41—and that was the very week Colt announced it was abandoning the civilian firearms market.

March 16, 2003, 10:55 PM
7 C&R rifles at once. (a 5fer and two individuals)

3 S&W revolvers at once.

I've bought 2 in the same day several other times. I think that is why they invented gun shows : )

March 16, 2003, 10:56 PM
2 SKSs at one time on my C&R.

March 17, 2003, 01:04 AM
I've lost count... I think I've bought three in one day. And probably six or seven in a month.

March 17, 2003, 01:19 AM
Hmmm...about 2 years ago I traded 3 for one. Then got 8 for 2. I also got a kevlar vest somewhere in there. All in one month and all trading, no money involved.

Sheslinger, your point is don't buy more than what you have money for. I have been guilty of buying impulsively, and I am as bad as anyone here. But I find myself disciplining myself to wait for when a REALLY good deal comes along - and they will.

March 17, 2003, 03:41 AM
Only 2 in 2 days.

Though I have only been buying since January of 2002, and in the 14 months since, my wife and I have 13 guns/rifles. So I have been averaging a pretty good number. :)

Trying to recall exactly how it came down. I know I bought three in one day, and am pretty sure I had bought another one a handful of days earlier (in the same week, for sure).

I had just gotten discharged from the Navy on a knee injury, and my wife allotted me $1500 of the lump sum payment I got towards firearms and ammo.

Sure am glad I didn't get stopped on my way from Virginia to Colorado! Would have looked a little suspicious with 7 or 8 firearms and about 7,000 rounds of ammo. :what:

Was finally released from Japan, only to get sent to Japan-lite (although with most Hawaiians, "lite" isn't a good word). Swung by my father's gun shop (in America) on leave a few months later.

2 shotguns, 2 rifles, and 12 pistols later I was ready to go. It was a good day.

March 17, 2003, 05:33 PM
Three in one deal. Guy had a bag full o' K-frames (2 nice M&P's, 1 P&R M13). Made me a deal I couldn't refuse. So I didn't.

when I got my ccw last year I went gun crazy or at least gun happy. in the course of a year I bought a kel tec P11, a Taurus PT 145, a Witness P full size 45, a HK usp40c, a Charles Daly 45, A Ruger mk II, added to the Glock 17 I had befroe I got the ccw. Then I decided a nedded a couple of long guns and both a saiga 223 , a saiga 7.62 and a maverick shotgun. That was added to the 10/22 that I alreday owned. But with a that I still feel like a piker when I read what other guys got. Of course when my wife wanted to go on a cruise I said "what are we made of money"
