Not sure which section of THR this should go in, sorry if it doesn't fit here.
I'm looking to buy some batteries for my Surefire G2. I believe they're SF123A's. Where's the cheapest place?

Any CR123 or CR123A will work. Ebay and froogle have them at around a dollar a battery (plus shipping).
If you want only the surefire brand, cheapest place is surefire directly at just over 1.25 or so!
FWIW, I use the titanium brand off ebay in both my duty and home streamlights - work just as well as the SureFire brand.
Best of luck!

I get mine from the SureFire site. Sure, you can find knock offs on Ebay for a bit cheaper, but in the long run, you'll pay.
Energizers 123's at Wal-Mart go for $9 a pair, much more than the $15 for a dozen on SureFire's site.

$1/each plus shipping. They get down to .90/each if you order 300 :uhoh:
I've never had a problem with Botach, but some people have. Just call them and make sure they have the item in stock before you order.

I get mine from BatteryStation.com. If you're a CPF member they are $1 each. If not, $1.25.
Check this out to know which batteries to avoid...

The really funny part about the battery shootout is that there aren't that many makers of CR123A's in the world. Most on that list are branded batteries made by someone else for them.
In I don't know who they use now, but for years Duracell made alkalyne batteries for Sanyo and Sanyo provided Duracell with their recharable and lithium batteries (including the CR123A). Surefire was a Sanyo customer for years as well. Depending on the date, it is highly likely that his Sanyo, Surefire, and Duracell tests were all done on the same battery off the sister production lines.
Maxell, Battery Station, Streamlight, and I am almost certain Energizer and RayOvac do not make the batteries either. They just have them branded for them by the OEM.
I try to use Sanyo batteries. I trust their battery ratings a bit more being based on a average output and not on peak energy value.

Plus $5 s&h. So it comes out to more like $1.65 per battery. Still a great deal but it's actually $20 per dozen with shipping.

I've been happy with Surefire's dozen price.

IF that's a regular deal that they run can you point me to the seller?
