Question about Steyr M series

Looking at the barrel end of your Steyr, is there a significant gap between the slide and polymer? Mine seems to have an unusual looking gap but I assume it is normal, is it? I would post a pic of mine but I'm stuck at work. Perhaps someone has a pic of their own?

There are a couple of pics of my steyr in this thread...However I dont think that they show the angle you are looking for...But NO I dont see a significant gap in MY M9.
