I have long been partial to the Butler Creek/Uncle Mike's boot grips for my small frame revolvers. I need to pick up a few for the Taurus small frame. Much to my surprise, the Uncle Mike's website no longer stocks them, many of my usual supply houses say they are out of stock, and some Googling turns up nothing on point. Has Uncle Mike's/Butler Creek discontinued their line of revolver boot grips?

That's wierd! I was looking at those grips on their Web site only a couple of weeks ago, and now the entire boot grip section has disappeared. I can only assume they've withdrawn them from sale.

Brownells still has some of them in stock - see here (http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=9072) for details. I might have to buy a couple of spare sets myself...

I called last week to order a set of grips and was told they are no longer made, production stopped in January of this year. Supposedly they lost a contract and so the manufacturing section was shut down. I found a place that still has some - copsplus.com and ordered grips from them. Never dealt with Copsplus before - grips ordered yesterday.

And yeah, I like the slender polymer grips from Butler Creek - bummer they will no longer be available. :(

Millcreek....it is a bit of a drive for you, but a couple weeks ago Sportco in Fife had a few pair of them for Taurus and Smith J frames......unfortunately they won't tell you much if anything over the phone, if I make it there over the weekend I'll check it out and let you know......tom

...okay, are these the "Banana"-looking RB grips (truly "Rounded" in the backstrap area), or the "Conversion" grips that look identical to the SB's??? Thanks....mikey357

Check out: www.cdnninvestments.com

They have a big selection of boot grips, but I'm not sure of the source.

Version I heard was that they had some sort of licensing dispute with Spegel. I think that was over at the Hi-Power forum at www.1911forum.com. I have UM boots on several guns. Don't want to change to Hogue :barf: so I hope it's just temporary.
