What sights do you reccomend for flying targets (birds and clays)? I get along pretty fine with a bead sight. It seems like ghost rings and such would just get in the way for point shooting. Is this correct?

Yes sights will cause nothing but heartache with clays and wingshooters.

I like my hiviz light pipe sights on my target gun, helped me out and a lot of really good clay shooters use them.

Some people find them distracting, and focus on the sight rather than the target.

I'm going to try a round of trap with my mossberg 500 sometime with its ghost ring sights. I'll tell you how it turned out.

I do like a ramp/bead & for more precise "placement" (if you can go there with a SG) & a double bead.

Mostly though, a proper fit/mount already gives you the best "sight picture" you can have - it's quicker/more instinctive.

The best you can do with a SG is to look at the target, naturally mount & just hit it.

& they say there's no "art" to SGing. ;)
