I'm thinking of buying a XD in 9mm or .40 cal. I haven't seen any information on using +P loads, anyone have an opinion about using +p loads in them. Thanks;

There is no such thing as a SAAMI spec +p .40, but the 9mm XD will handle +p and probably +p+ 9mm just fine.

But keep in mind that shooting a lot of +p and +p+ ammo will wear out your gun faster.

+p+ 9mm is also not a SAAMI spec...

+p+ is just another way of saying, "it's original and intended, non-american lawyerized pressure". :D

You will wear out your eyesight before you do a modern pistol firing +P ammo in it. The XD is built like a tank, it can handle a steady diet of the stuff.

The +p should be fine.

Thanks,

If you want to know about +p+, call the number listed, and someone should be able to let you know.
