The new Taurus revolver a friend just bought Sunday (titanium frame) says "...Magnun", not "Magnum" on the barrel shroud. I didn't point it out to him. Is this a new caliber? Hmmm....

I think I saw one of those on the TV show "Magnun PI"...or maybe it was in the movie "Magnun Force".
Not sure.

Probably a misstamp or broken die used to stamp the shroud.

Sounds like one of those quirky things that'll triple a gun's value. Like misprinted stamps or baseball cards?

Hmmm...if memory serves I believe that the Sisters of Charity have a militant arm of the order, and now we know from whom they order their firearms.

Yup it's true, on my new total titaunium 651 .357 on the barrel it says "magnun", on another part of the barrel it says magnum. Shoots great!

+1 to what SPJ said. For that matter, all of the titanium 651s that I have seen say '.357 magnun' on the right side of the barrel.

Yah, it's a new caliber developed for pest control, like gophers, crows, etc. Get one now and you too could be known as a Crow-Magnun Man....
Thank you ladies and gentlemen - I'll be here all week. Drive safely.

Crow-Magnun, eh? Does the instruction manual say you can also use 38 Species in the revolver?

Well, you know, even the Catholic school kids are getting unruly, and rulers weren't doing the trick any more, so...
