A thought on quick entry handgun safes

Several months ago I read an article about a holster maker (Uncle Mikes?) that was developing a holster that would only let you withdraw the gun after it read your fingerprint.
That's not really a feature I want in a holster but if the technology was perfected I do think it would make a nice addition to a quick-entry safe. No buttons, no combinations or keys, just stick your index finger in and open it up.
The holster in question was able to read as many or as few print identifiers that you wanted it to. It could also be programmed to read prints from more than one person.

That's the first thing anyone says about the "fingerprint" holsters, and with good reason.

BUT, if you're at home, and you need to get to your instant access safe, and your hands are ALREADY "covered" in blood, you have made a GRIEVOUS error in home security preparedness!!!
