over the last 6 months i have been putting together a 3 mak collection of ones that had the same lot and year code(NM 24 xxx) in the SN# and had there SN# as close together as possible(all with in less then 300#). well i finally got the Third one out of layaway a couple of weeks ago and ended up with 3 very good bulgy maks. they all are the ones from PW imports and are NIB unissued. a little cleaning, make that a ton of cleaning and polishing with some ordinary car wax along with breaking the edge on the feed ramp and i have 3 bulgys that have not missed a beat so far.
next is a 4" .357mag revo to go with my 6" smith. then its back to collecting at least 2 or 3 more maks.

I guess it's me, but I don't get why. Wouldn't it be more interesting to get different Makarovs, from different countries? Perhaps 9x18 and .380?

sorry about the confusion, I plan on getting other Maks from other country's and in both calibers. the 3 i bought were all NIB and unissued with very close complete SN#. It didn't start that way, I was just going to buy 2 at first and get some used ones from other country's later. but the dealer brought out a stack of boxes for me to pick the ones i wanted and it just so happened that there were 3 that were very close in complete SN#. So I bought 1 and put the other 2 on layaway and the rest is history. now to move on and pick up a EG. and a Russian and who nos what after that.

I carried a EG Mak in a Sparks VMII for a few years. The most comfortable carrying, and reliable shooting pistol I own. I think I will give it and its hoster to my daughter when she comes of age.

German and Russian would be great additions. See if you can also nail a Chinese military.

If you like Makarovs, you REALLY ought to get your hands on the Polish P-64. I had a beautiful Russian Mak (stolen, bummer!) and when I went to replace it, they were sold out. But I noticed some P-64s on the bottom shelf and checked one out. I'm sure glad I did!
Smaller than a Mak, accurate, reliable, SAFE, built like a tank, easy to hide, and inexpensive (slightly less than a Bul. Mak). Easy to shoot good, strips like a Mak., fits great. They have the hammer drop, trigger disconnect safety and (I think) a firing pin block. I dropped mine from 8' onto concrete on the hammer (on purpose 4 times, safely) with no discharge and no damage. For the price, you will not find a better pistol for self-defense and CCW.
Gunfighting rule #1; Shoot first, shoot better than they do, shoot to kill.
