I have a Milt Sparks VM II for my Glock 20 and like it a lot. I am looking for a holster for my Sig. I don't have a carry permit, 'tho I am considering one at some point. I would probably go with the Glock or my Hi Power. Sig is just too heavy.
I am planning to try some IDPA and would use the Sig there. Otherwise, just need something for the range. One point. I lost 30# over the last 6 months, so I have plenty of pants for IWB. I have been considering another VMII, or perhaps something by Kramer. Would something outside the waist be better for IDPA, or would IWB be as good with the added concealability if it ever became necessary.
If you carry a stainless Sig, I would be especially interedsted in your take.
Thanks, as always.

If the primary use is IDPA, I think it I'd see if the Sidearmor holsters will work for the 220ST. http://ishot-inc.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=30&products_id=58
Second choice would be a Blade-tech holster. http://www.blade-tech.com/frontend?command=ProductMatrix&iProductId=4682&iSectionId=4364
I would not use an IWB holster for IDPA. Personal preference but it seems you want a holster that allows for the fastest draw possible.

Thanks, SR. I admit I was in the leather mode. Hadn't really considered kydex, but they make sense. A specialized holster may be a better choice. If they could only make them SMELL like a new leather job!

For competition Kydex is great for CCW/Comp or CCW only Id go leather.
Most makers have a holster that is designed for larger/heavier guns whether IWB or OWB, just make sure you get something that will work with your environment/cover/gun etc...........Good luck and shoot well.

I got the Sig a couple of months ago and picked up some Magtech ammo. I stopped by the range on the way home and shot a box. I had heard/read all the poop on how accurate they were. I STUNK!. Was really glad no one else was around. I think I was just so used to my Glock trigger. Since then I have really improved and last Saturday shot some reloads right on. I bought it used, and other than the barrel, it's totally unmarked. Came with 3 mags, two still in factory bags, so I'm thinking it doesn't have many rounds thru it.
Still, it's pretty heavy to carry around all day should I get a permit. I would probably start to walk with an FBI cant! I'm going to dig out my notes on plastic holsters from last year and try and make a choice for competition and go back to IWB for my Hi Power. I can probably carry it inside and STILL have some room left over- good for the ego. :D

I recently picked up a HighNoon tailgunner IWB for my Sig 220 and it is the holy grail of holsters for this gun. I have tried several different IWB designs for the 220 including the VMII, Alessi Talon, C-tac and Summer Special types. None of them were comfortable AND didn't print under an untucked t-shirt. The Tailgunner achieves both.

Nice gun leather.....but one correction. The tailgunner IS a Summer Special type of holster. Most "wrap around" style IWB's are a deviation of the basic style....... The tail makes is more stable than a "clip only" style........
Shoot well.............
