Hunter the TV show - what did Rick and DeeDee carry?

Does anyone know for sure what they were carrying (if real and not prop) on the show? It was one of the better shows back in the days. :D

IIRC, Hunter initially carried a Desert Eagle - thanks to camera angles, I never got a really good look at it - but after the first season it apparently came to be regarded as excessive overkill . . . so the Almighty Gods of Political Correctness reduced the character's hardware to what looked like a J-Frame S&W. The little revolver just about disappeared in the actor's big hands.

If I remember, the guns changed several times over the course of the show. I recall Hunter carrying a Sig 220, a .44 Mag revolver of some kind, a Desert Eagle (I think), a Beretta 92, and a Smith auto (3rd Generation). I'm sure there were more, but they are what I recall. As for DeeDee, I recall a Sig 230, a Walther PPK, and a J frame Smith.

It was a good show - you can still watch it if you want on TV Land Channel. Comes on every morning at 4AM CST I think.

Regarding the guns Hunter and DeeDee carried - I'm betting they carried what ever the prop guy happened to have on hand when they were shooting.

Thats funny I thought Hunter carried the competition version of the HK P9S. Deedee carried a P230 I think but I am not sure.

It's been a long time since I wacthed Hunter. I do not remeber what he carried the during first season, but I remember he called it Simon, as in "Simon didn't say you could do that."

I do remeber he carried a short barreled .44 special at one time. But who could forget the SPAS-12!

that media publicity photo does show them holding smith autos...his looks like a 645

but hunter's "normal" carry in the show...and in the TV guide ads...was an HK P9S with extended barrel and barrel weight. he carried it in a leather crossdraw holster...which i seem to remember as made by bianchi

dee dee carried the walther ppk/s and the smith J-frame during different epis, but she usually carried a sig 230 in her purse

DeeDee carried a Sig 230 anytime she was posing as a hooker. (Which was about every episode.) :)
