See http://www.military.com/ppt/iraqi_insurgent_sniper_training.htm for links to actual Iraqi insurgent sniper training, taken from one of their Web sites. Looks like these guys are learning...

Nothing there that common sense wouldn't tell you.
But I do like about the parts where you are told not to shoot because you might hit a civilian, or not to shoot when civilians are around, because the US forces will get mad and kill them all in revenge

Why is it in English? Perhaps (since it is on a US Military site) we are seeing a translated version.

Sorry guys, but this smells like a whole bunch of good, old Pentagon "we know where the WMD's are" bull?????" to me. As Dmack pointed out before - the various jihadist groups do not have propaganda ministries (like we do!!!!!!) to translate documents and make them palpable for different audiances. The caption that totally made this go over the top to me was "shoot and kill the medics and chaplians - we do not need to keep to the Geneva Convention if they don't". The sad fact is, is that the average Iraqi has never heard of the Geneva Convention (although he should have) and the fact whoever wrote this wants us to believe that these "insurgents" are the most morally reprehensible and evvvvvilllll people ever on earth who would actually target support personnel points out that the power structure in this country (i.e those who invaded Iraq under false pretenses) doesn't think too much of the capability for rational thought from the populace of this country.
And perhaps, because I am sure this huge fraud will make an equally large and idiotic wave, they will be correct.

Maybe kids growing up in a war-torn former regional power of Iraq today will not learn english or computer skills or what the Geneva Convention is, but as I understood it Iraq used to be a rather prosperous place, with socialist tendencies and thus wide-spread university-level educations. If nothing else they had many sophisticated weapons systems from a diverse array of foreign powers, meaning they needed a lot of expertise just for air defence and the like.
I always had it in my mind that Iraq used to be a lot more like Russia than Arabia, that was just my frame of reference.

I think the same way, joejojoba
My guess is that the US translated it so we could read the training they are getting. And even if this is propaganda, it does contain somewhat useful information to a wanna be sniper; why would they put it where it could be read by them?
