Well it was only the second trip to the range with my new savage 10FP, and the first time with the new Choate stock....

The indoor range that is near by, only goes back to 50 yards so these were only at 50 not even 100, but I'm still pretty happy:

You should have pulled that smile up under the nose a bit but not too shabby. :)

Ok, was the smiley done with Kentucky windage aiming or adjusting the scope?

For your next trick, use the exact same aiming point and plot your scope movements. First shot should be the nose. On the last shot return to the nose. Same aiming point! :D

Congrats Yz,

They're accurate as hell for a reasonable price. Here's my 1st 100yd group in a gale, heh. Have fun.

The ones on the right were just dot's I was aiming at to mess with zeroing in the scope (3 in the top one 2 in the bottom). I was just trying out some different loads in my new rifle to see what it shot best, so I only had a box of each of a few different types with me.

Turns out it liked the reloaded BTHP's from Cabelas (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jhtml?id=0012596214228a&navAction=push&navCount=3&indexId=cat20839&podId=0012596&catalogCode=ID&parentId=cat20839&parentType=index&rid=) pretty well (that is what those were shot with), but I only had 20 rounds of that with me and ran out (that won't happen again!!) I also had to buy another 200 rounds of it!!! :)

To be a bit fair to the other loads I had on hand, they were hunting loads (readily available locally) and most were soft points made for expansion of some sort. They each gave up from 1/2 inch to an inch in accuracy to the others (and of course POI changed). I still have some Remington BTHP's to try out also...

Also to be honest I pulled the first shot to the mouth, it was supposed to be closer to the bottom edge, but it was the first shot, so I just made the others line up with it :) I'll do better next time!!

I was using the same aiming point (no Kentucky windage or scope adjustments) but it also did not start with a cold bore shot. It was at the end of my range trip. I would have added another shot to each side of the smile, but ran out of the accurate ammo.... :( Not sure what you mean about ploting the scope movements?? are you reffering to cold bore shots being off? and adjusting the scope accordingly per shot starting with a cold bore shot? If so I have not started messing with figuring out the cold bore stuff yet, just finding what ammo to use so far....
