10/22 stuff

Can anyone help me with these questions?
Do you know of any websites that sell cheap but reliable 10 rounders for my ruger?
Also, did anyone ever make a pistol grip stock for a 10/22?
I see alot of custom internals out there, are any of them worth while for non-competitive paper punching?
Thanks in advance

I just bought 4 10-rounders from cabellas. Single mags are $11.99 each, about $1.00 off each when you buy 4. They alos have a bunch of 10/22 gear at very good prices.
BTW - These are Ruger factory mags.

Do you have a Wal-mart close by. My Wal-mart has them for around $10.68 + or - a buck. I haven't seen them on the web any cheaper.
From what I've read you will be better off with the factory Ruger mags.
I like the Volquartsen hammer and mag release. You can do the auto bolt release yourself if you have a dremel like tool.
For me the hammer is a must although it does seem to increase creep in the trigger.
If you haven't already you should go to rimfirecentral (www.rimfirecentral.com). You can find all you ever wanted to know about the 10/22.

Like RTownsend said, check out RimFireCentral.
I've bought mags and parts from HawkTech; they have free shipping. Seems like all the sponsors on the RFC site get good reviews for service, though.

sorry for the ignorant question, but I got my 10/22 without a manual... the factory heavy barrel has a .920" diameter right?

i'd like to see somebody make a decent click-adjustable iron sight for it - preferably like the M1 carbine one.

If you can live with the HK style front sight...

It's called the "Zephr 2000" sighting system. Available lots of places, but I got this picture from gunaccessories.com (http://www.gunaccessories.com/1022/sights.asp)
It's most likely too tall in the rear to use the factory front sight, but I'll bet the TruGlo tall front sight (2 piece - riser block and fiber optic sight) would work.

Onslaught, have you actually used that iron sight set up or did you just see it on the net? Is it worth bothering with?

If that sight is click adjustable then the tech at Brownell's lied to me.
He said he had one in his hands and it wasn't click adjustable.
I went through this search, and found that if you want a click adjustable peep you will have to send your rifle to Williams. They will drill & tap the receiver and then install one of their Foolproof target peep sights.
I opted for a Williams Guide Sight set. It comes with a hight front sight and a rear peep that installs in the two rear scope mount holes on the 10/22 receiver. It's not click adjustable, but the witness marks on the sight make it reasonably easy to get zeroed.
