Can someone recommend a good holster for me?
I just bought a glock 17 for use in IDPA. What would be a good choice for a holster? Thank you.

It is hard to beat a Comp-tac in either a regular paddle or a belt loop version. Both are legal and work really well. The locking paddle is not legal due to the "daylight" rule.
They are well made, fast on the draw and easy to reholster. They usually have them in stock and can get one to you in a few days.
Be sure to check their "quonset hut" area for some discounted holsters.
Good Luck!

I second the Comptac. I used to use Bladetech exclusivly, but I have migrated over to comptac recently. Top quality.

I'd suggest you look at these:
Comp-Tac
Sidearmor
Safariland 560 and
Blade-tech
The last two are by far the most popular in this area. Sidearmor is pretty new - nice holsters for IDPA.
