Looking for an inexpensive .357 for informal target work and plinking around the property. Noticed the Astra on SOG's website.

Outside of the fact that the only spec I see for this model lists it as a 38sp, would anyone care to comment on this piece as to fit/finish, reliability and availability of parts?

Do I run away fast from this one or proceed with caution?

Many thanks in advance!

:edited:Ahh..My bad. cudda sworn SOG advertised this as a .357. Still, interesting revolver. I'll let my questions stand.

If it's in good shape and you can get it for less than $170.00 dollors it should make a good plinker. If you really want a inexpensive 357 do a search on gunbroker or auction arms for llama's new revolvers,i think they're made in argentina.

I think it would be a decent revolver, but you should be able to get a new EAA Windicator in hand for about $200.00 and they're an excellent value.
