Thousands of people gathered at Klan rallies to denounce both Williams and Dr. Albert Perry, another Monroe civil rights advocate. Williams responded by chartering an official NRA gun club, and using it to teach black people how to defend themselves.

You won't hear the gun grabbers mention anything like that when they try to call the NRA racist.

I honestly think most liberals are more afraid of armed negroes than most red staters are.

I mean, conservatives werent in a panic running to gun stores during the LA riots. Liberals were.

well, that's because liberals aren't paranoid like all you crazy gun nuts who already had guns[/sarcasm]

That argument annoys the hell out of me. Especially when the person who makes it then ignores questions about why they wear a seat belt, have health insurance, lock their doors, etc. etc. etc. :banghead:

Who's likely to already have adequate arms?

If my memory serves, rioting black people and koreans store owners, but not many others. Oh yeah and the cops, not that you would know that any cops were involved from the way they hung back a mile from the action.

You won't hear the bloody marxists mention that the NRA was founded by Union officers that were disappointed by the army of the republic's marksmanship during the Civil War. Union heroes like General Winfield Scott Hancock who led the yankees at Gettysburg, General Ambrose Burnside, General Ulysses S Grant, were all presidents of the NRA at one time.

Of course the sheep believe the drivel pushed by liars like michael moore that say the NRA and KKK are sister organizations. :barf:

Dave Kopel wrote an article on Ambrose Burnside

This is a little bit of long ago for most of you, but in the 60's I was something of a armed and conservative hippy type. While the moonbat left is what everyone remembers of those times, there were lots and lots of counter-culture types who were more libertarian than socialists. We all had guns, enjoyed our guns, and felt we had a right to our guns.

After all, ya gots ta defend yourself against the man...and suppose the revolution comes, you better be armed.

Heady times. My wife is of the opinion I was only a hippy for round-heeled girls and the drugs...she should know, she was there.

One thing I could never understand is why the left is so freakin' afraid of guns. Hell, aren't we heading for a police state, isn't Rove mind controlling everyone...I would think that they would be as pro-gun in their paranoia as we are pro-gun in our 2A or sporting support. If I as an evil conservative plan to control their lives, why do they want to disarm themselves?
