Ballistics Software

I'm getting more and more into long-range field shooting, so I've decided to take the plunge and purchase some external ballistics computational software. Looking at Perry Systems Exbal and Horus ATRAG.
Whatever I get, it has to be able to run on both a Windoze laptop as well as a Palm.
Any expereinces to report?
Thanks,
Chris

I've been happy with PCB ballistic software. (http://home-2.worldonline.nl/~jhogema/pcb/pcb.htm) It's not too pretty and any graphic interpretations you might need have to be done on some other software. But it's free and therefore worth it's price.

I've used Exbal/Windows, Exbal/Palm, Sierra, NECO QuickTarget, and some other packages. I have not tried Agtran yet.
Exbal on Windows is pretty good. It computes the data you need for datacards directly.
Sierra seems a little more convoluted to get the data you need.
NECO QuickTarget is less useful than either of the preceeding two.
Exbal on the Palm is decent, but awkward to use and somewhat buggy.
I've heard Agtran/Palm is better, but haven't tried it.
For the computer, I settled on my own implementation which computes my datacards and comparative ballistics directly.

I've also used Exbal, and love it. It works much better on a pocket PC, such as the Dell Axim, but i have it on my home PC, and a PDA, and it is a little quirky sometimes on the PDA-- but manageable.

Old thread but still pops up when Googleing for linux ballistic
Linux Users with Openoffice can use Pejsa Ballistics Spreadsheet
Did not see any license restrictions. Suggest you send the author
a few bucks as thanks. www.pejsa.com/

Pretty simple replace MV BC and other variables with your info.
Every time you select a different box ballistic values recompute.
Also works on PPC Windows handhelds and smartphones with MobileOffice.
