I'd be more than happy to be the first one on my block to have one of those....
Very nice. Thanks.

Didn't I shoot these "new, deadly weapons" 15 years ago at Knob Creek? Everything old is new again, get out your top hat and cane . . . :D

Full auto? Drum mag? Virtually no recoil? 95% weapon control? I might be able to hit a dove with one of those....

yes i second the motion, pancor jackhammer + 1

what are the odds of obtaining one of these? What if a military shipment just happened to be missing one? :D

"Speaking of heat, the maximum temperature of the AA-12 has been measured at 256 degrees F at the gas port and 150 degrees F to the barrel."

I don't want to sound stupid, but I'm a little tired. What's up with those numbers, are they saying the barrel will never get hotter than 150 degrees, or that you break it if it gets hotter than 150 degrees? Doesn't a deck in the sun get hotter than 150 degrees?

There was an article about this in the newest issue of Soldier of Fortune, worth the read. Great magazine in my opinion, I reccomend it.

My favorite part of the article is at the top...

It is a well-known fact that terrorists killing our troops in Iraq are not afraid of the M4 and its 5.56mm bullet

And yet...they're still dead. hmmmm

No, they really aren't scared of them. You can point an M-16 in their face and they won't flinch. But, grab a stick or a rock and got at them with it, and watch them run. No joke -- the people in that region were disiplined that way; the tribal elders would smack the living crap out of them with a stick or a rock. I know someone who was over in Iraq last year. They had an LZ setup near a town, and it was surrounded by a fence and barbed wire - the works. The locals were protesting the arrival of their UH-60, and were crawling all over the fences. The soldiers pointed their weapons and gave them warnings, but they presisted on crawling on the fence. They couldn't open fire (as it is agaist the rules of engagement, and just morally wrong in my opinion), so one of the guys headed back to the helo and got a baton -- and started smacking at the fence where the Iraqis' feet were -- and they scattered like roaches when the light turns on
