Springfield micro-compact takedown tool?

I just got an email from a guy who lost the takedown tool for his SA micro-compact. I thought maybe it was similar to the procedure for Kimbers: get a paperclip and bend it. But it looks like it's something else.

Does anyone know if Springfield is quick to mail these to owners, or if there's some sort of substitute?

To my knowledge, there's no substitute. I called S.A. when I got mine, because I was afraid to have just one...they're pretty small, and easy to misplace. After my call to them, I had two or three in hand in a few days, n/c.
