I have a brand new CZ83 in .32acp and was wondering if Wolff Gunsprings makes any recoil springs that would fit the gun. I haven't had the chance to fire it yet, but I'd like an option if it needs a new recoil spring. I didn't see any CZ83 spring options on the Wolff website, but would a spring intended for another CZ fit (such as the CZ52)? Thanks for any help.

Well you have 2 choices. You can get a replacement from CZUSA or you can use a Wolff spring for a Makarov, PM. I used them on my CZ83, youll have to adjust the weight for your caliber.......14# or so. Whatever Mike @ CZUSA recommends.
Hope this helps........Shoot well.

How do you know you need a new spring? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

CZ recoils springs SUCK.....but the 83 is the exception to that rule. The 32 spring may out last the gun.........my 9x18 Mak 83 spring lasted forever with hot Mak loads............
Change it when it needs it..........Shoot well.

Thanks for the helpful feedback, especially as to the use of the Makarov spring, if needed. It's also good to know that the 83 is the exception to the CZ recoil spring rule (i.e., they generally stink). All my other CZs needed Wolff recoil springs right away, as they were badly undersprung from the factory. Thanks again.
