It has already started. FoxNews is reporting that Iraqi troops are already trying to surrender.

Since Bush gave him 48 hours yesterday, I'd say a week is pushing it. When GHWB (Bush I) gave the ultimatum in 1991, he started the war the minute the deadline was up. IMHO, we should start now. Forget the 48 hour deadline, nail them now before they can do any more to prepare. Not fair? What's fair about war.
It's about time the Iraqi's were freed. They used to be one of the greatest civilizations on Earth. The library at Bagdahd had every book known to exist in it's day. Over the centuries, these once great people were corrupted by their totalitarian leaders. I think it's time they were free.
