that would be a great defensive pistol... you could give yourself covering fire over your shoulder while running full-speed away.

We should give those to the anti-gun lobby when WWIII happens

Accuracy would be improved if the front blade and rear notch were reversed.

reminds me of the shoot over your shoulder with a mirror trick. sort of like building a car with 5 speeds of reverse.

Yeah, something like that was going around workplaces about 40 years ago. Called it the Smithinski & Wessonovitch target model.

In all seriousness, it really does look French. I was bequethed a French Revolver that I cannot find ANY information on. Google is clueless! I guess I am going to have to take some pictures, and post up a thread.

Hmmm.

I'll go get the camera.

Meet me in the revoler section.

This particular revolver has been around for a long time. I have a mimeographed (that would be pre photo shop, pre personal computer, pre xerox for those of you who are unfamilier) picture of one labeled "Polish dueling pistol" (that would be pre political correctness). :D

Note- I occasionally miss the smell of freshily mimeographed copies. Some things progress leaves behind are better. Ink jet copies don't have the right aroma. :(

Yeah, I think it is called a "Polish Revolver." I saw one at a gun show a while back. And I knew a guy who had an old revolver that was no good anymore and turned it into one of those. They're a neat novelty I guess.
