I was just holding one of these guns in my local shop and it seemed very nice I don't know the exact model but its the exact hi power copy. I actualy held it side by side with an actual browning hi power they also had in and they looked identical. I racked the slides back and from what I could see they were identical in every way. My local dealer said it is completely interchangable with the real browning and from what I saw I'am inclined to agree. I've heard this from alot of people regarding these guns. Is it true?
The fit/finish of this gun was just about on par with the browning I held in the opossite hand. The action was almost exact to the browning except the trigger was a tad gritty on both guns. I think this may be from the mag disconnect safety? Also this gun some with a factory 13 round magazine its brand new in the box.
My last question is should I even trade my glock 26 for this gun? Its an older model I've had it for some time and I really want a hi power but don't have the cash right now so trading seems the only way to get one right now. I have a g17 with a bunch of mags so I won't be glockless. so what do you guys think of this hi power clone? I intend to use it for ccw and home defense so reliablility is paramount.
I have read that some people use these guns for these purposes and feel them more then reliable enough for this. So whats you take on these guns guys? Good Bad let me know. Thanks

Hello,
The FEG is a great value for the money, I have enjoyed mine as much as my Browning counter part. Quality Hi-cap. Hipower mags. can be bought for less than $20. on CDNN.
The Glock is a great gun too. In my neck of the woods the FEG sells for $ 220 used, $250 new. The Glock would sell for $ 399 + or - used. Don't do it.

It's a good little gun, but a G26 is worth about $200 more new or used than the FEG.
I think it would be a bad trade.

Keep the G26! It fills a niche (CCW) the BHP clone can't fill. Also, its cheap enough to purchase separately ($200+?), just save some more $$ and get it later. G26 in my area sells for $450 or more, used.

That would be a great even up trade (for the dealer). Just sell your Glock 26 for $400. Put an ad in the paper or let someone here snap it up. You can get $400 easy, the FEG goes for about $250 brand new out the door. From a purely financial standpoint it is a bad trade.

Some models of FEG are complete HiPower clones, some are only externally clones.
Keep the G26! It fills a niche (CCW) the BHP clone can't fill. Which doesn't explain that HiPower in a IWB holster I carry around.

The FEG PJK-9HP is the true Hi Power clone. Well made and very accurate: at least the one I have. As for trading a Glock for one, I wouldn't know.

Yep - ditto what mbott said .... my FEG is the same. I used to have an earlier genuine HP but gotta say, for the price, this FEG is very acceptable, and functions well in all respects.
As has been said tho ..... even not being a Glock fan ..... would be a bad move to do a trade I'd say ....... in equivalent value terms at least.
Get a FEG .... and I am sure you will enjoy. I like it as my other semi auto carry piece.

Ya kept your Glock, so you did good. You could sell the glock, buy the FEG and still have $150 left over if you really wanted the pistol.
With HPs once you get rid of the mag safety the trigger feel will really improve. A simple do it yourself fix.
Good Shooting
