Just shot my new CZ-452... wow...

OK,

I just took my new CZ-452 "Varmint" .22 LR to an indoor range today to break it in, and see how well it works (using Federal "gold medal" .22 LR ammo). I threw in the aftermarket adjustable sear, free floated the barrel, and attached a Leupold Vari-X III 4.5-14x50 A/O illuminated scope.

All I can say is, this might be the most accurate firearm I own. I simply cannot believe the accuracy. Granted, I was only shooting at an indoor range at a distance of ~18 yards, but this thing was DEAD on! I zeroed the scope in 3 shots, and then proceeded to shoot 7 rounds through a single hole. Not a ragged hole mind you, but a single .22" hole. No fliers, no "groups", just one hole. Nobody else at the range would not believe that I shot at the target more than once, it was that insane. Bottom line, I cannot recommend the CZ-452 enough, what a great buy! And it's not that expensive either... especially when you consider the cost of ammo.

I got a CZ452 after reading comments on the rimfirecentral.com forum. I was disappointed with the test target that came with the rifle, but after I scoped it and shot one-hole groups at 50 yards I was a happy camper (CZ452 SuperExclusive from Whitaker's). :)

These CZ 22's are some of the most under rated rifles out there. they should all cost at least $100 more what the quality and accuracy you get.

I have a 452 Lux and it shoots the lights out. I added a rear peep sights and it's fantastic. They really should cost more than they are. Now if only CZ would an anschutz style stock with and have the ability to use the aperture sights.

A great many small furry animals, from squirrels to ptarmigan and grouse, have proven the value of my CZ-452 ZKM. It's not a rifle. It's a death ray!

Sactown-what peep sights are available? Would really like a set.

Thanks

It's more of a ghost ring, but it works good on my 452. Eric Brooks (http://cz452.com/) sells different sizes, as well as other CZ items.

I don't think I have a 22 that wouldn't shoot one hole at 18 yards.

The CZs are really nice.

I have the 452 in WMR as well, but you can't beat the .22lr for cost per round. I installed the Brookie's trigger kit and the trigger is awesome. I'd highly recommedn the trigger kit. It made...oops, gotta go...I'm chatting online with some babes.
