Can NJ shooters recommend some ranges in North New Jersey. I just stopped by my range tonight to find out it has been closed. I used to go to Paterson Rod and Gun. Any recommendations would help. Thanks.

Paterson R&G closed? That's nuts! In the area, I always thought that was the nicest setup. When/why did that happen? I hadn't heard anything.

I'm renewing my membership to the Cherry Ridge range, its outdoors in W. Milford. Here's a link from their website of "places to shoot"

I'm not too fond of most of the local indoor places. There was another dinky one in Paterson called Paterson Gunsmithing which was REAL small, but the people were great. I heard that was closed too. There'e the Bullet Hole in Belleville which was OK from what I remember. There is a nice place in Tenafly that is members only, but I heard it is very nice also.

About two weeks some friends came over. They had never shot a gun before so I offered to take them to the range. We called Paterson Rod and Gun and the number was disconnected. Last night I drove by and the place was locked down and the windows were taped up. I looked through a crack in the paper covering the glass and it was completely empty.
