Glock 30, Is it very common?

That's the question. I can't seem to find them anywhere. Not that I'm in the market just yet, but I can see it being my next purchase. Do all the models i.e. 17-36 come in different calibers? Or is it just like the Glock 30 comes in .45 ACP?

Also if you own one, what would you be asking for it? If you wanted to sell it......that is!

Where do you live? In my area (Pittsburgh), the dealer I frequent always has 1 or 2 in stock.

Each model number only applies to a specific caliber - in .45ACP there is also the Glock 36 (single stack, I believe 6+1 or 7+1 capacity). Glock also has new pistols chambered for the .45GAP (models 37-39, I think.)

I do have a model 30 for sale - I'm asking $440 for it used + shipping , if you're interested. I have one person looking at it, but they might not come through. It has 800 rounds through it, and comes with 3 10-shot mags (all with Pearce grip extensions), fixed sights.

Joey, only the 21, 30 and 36 Glock models come in 45ACP. I don't know if you live anywhere near Houston, but there's a gun show in Pasadena this weekend. The Doc Walther or Bachman's stalls should have a Glock 30 for sale. I believe there's also a show in Austin. Hope this helps.

$440 for that gun is a steal! 800 rounds is barely broken in. :D

Yeah, I'm a little biased towards the G30. It was my first gun and it will always be my first gun-love. :neener:

DirksterG30- I live no where near PA. But I used to live in MD, born and raised.
Thank you though! :)

StephenT- I live in Mansfield, which is between Dallas and Ft. Worth. Austin is a possibility forme this weekend, I could drive to Houston no problem, but I'd have to take the family to the beach.......fun in the sun! But no I'll see what I can do this weekend, and thank you for the info.

Thanks to everyone else who posted info. It proved to be very informative.

I have a few G-30's NIB in stock as we speak. Sales of the G-36 (single
stack) .45 ACP have been lagging; so we ordered a few extra G-30's,
along with plenty of G-21's.

Gun Show at Amon Carter this weekend. Should be a couple of hundred Glocks there.

If you hadn't already came accross it-
Here's a forum board dedicated to the G30 and other .45acp Glocks. (http://glocktalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=32)

It might have some helpful information.

They seem to be all over the place here. They don't move all that fast, but generally do ok. My favorite shop usually keeps a couple in stock.

I love Glocks, but the 30 has all the ergonomics of a brick.

The Glock 30 is the only Glock I have found I like. I had a Glock 19 that only worked with a few brands of ammo, and have shot several others including the 21 and 36.
I noticed there was very few bad things said about them, and very few used ones for sale at the time I bought mine. Well I rented one from the range and my first impression is this feels like a brick and I knew I would hate it. Well these bricks can drive nails. They are comfortable to shoot for me and I do not have big hands either. I bought one the next weekend. The recoil is less than most 45's. If you have a range you can rent one from then I would do this first just to make sure it fits you.

Try www.ordnanceoutsellers.com they have great prices, a flat shipping charge to your FFL, and their service is excellent.

Ordnance has a heckuva deal, $515 for the G30 with 3 mags! Add some Mepro's and Pearce grip extensions on those mags and you're ready to go.

I also added a 3.5# connector and extended slide stop to my G30.

I bought one recently and have been quite pleased.

Shoot one, heck, shoot a bunch of .45ACPs - that's what I did before purchasing. Everyone has a favorite pistol, including folks whose opinions you respect. But it has to shoot well for you - have fun.

FWIW I've added the Hogue Handall and bought grip spacers for a couple G21 spare mags. I'm thinking about the 3.5# connecter and different holster options.
