My wife inherited a Targa .25 caliber pistol that an uncle of her's bought while overseas serving in Vietnam. What's the gun worth? She said 15 years ago a gun shop owner wanted it and offered her $250, but she refused.
So guys what's the story on it?

Hi. Does it look like this one? http://www.outdoors.net/site/images/imageview.aspx+Forum+Firearms+Category+Other+ImageID+17200+AlbumID+0+UserID+45+curpage+17200+SearchTerm+
I doubt it's worth $250, not that I'm sure, but it came from her uncle. Sometimes husbands should just clam up. Saves 'em grief.

Excam imported the Targa pistols untill 1990 when they went out of business.
There were 4 models of 25acp pistols the GT-26,GT-27B,GT-27C,and GT-28 The 26 and 27 models differed in finish blue/chrome and frame material alloy/steel. The 28 was slightly smaller and held one less round.
They are all worth $45-$50 in brand new condition with the chrome finish carrying a $13 priemum and the steel frame carrying a $59 priemum.
As these pistols were cheap pocket pistols and imported by the 1000's your wife's pistol being bought in SE Asia is not going to command a much higher price if any than the prices listed above.

The "GT" series was actually made in Italy, by Tanfoglio (GT=Giuseppe Tanfoglio), and the same design was produced in the US after 1968 by FIE, as the Titan. Numrich has parts, if you ever need them; http://www.e-gunparts.com/productschem.asp?chrMasterModel=3440zGT-27

Hey Sunray, it look just like that one and my wife has the original box and paperwork with it. So it's not that much guys? Wow, my wife and her very small gun collection (pistol and shotgun) is not shaping up what she thought it was. :D
Thanks for the info!!
