What % of Springfield 1911's are U.S.made?

I know they have a lot of Brazilian steel in them and was just curious.Anybody?

I would think 0%, but maybe some of the more custom pistols have some US parts.

Some people are of the opinion that the guns with a serial number prefix of 'NM' are made in the US. I'm not sure that's true but I tend to think it might be. All of the Springfields I've ever owned that had the NM prefix do not say 'F I Brazil' or 'Imbel Brazil' whereas all the ones that did not have the NM prefix.
Take this for what it's worth... $0.02. :p
