Well, looks like it's pretty much over, eh?

Maybe not.

Go to the site and check photo of "tank crews" "performing a war dance". No gun safety there.

15 Iraqi soldiers surrender on border

NBC, MSNBC AND NEWS SERVICES

NORTHERN KUWAIT, March 19 — As thousands of U.S. and British troops were poised to invade Iraq, 15 Iraqi soldiers dropped their weapons and surrendered Wednesday at the Iraqi-Kuwaiti border, U.S. military officials said. The Pentagon hoped tens of thousands of Iraqi soldiers would follow suit in the face of war, which appeared imminent with the approach of the 8 p.m. ET deadline set by the United States for Saddam Hussein to leave Iraq or face attack.

THE IRAQI SOLDIERS were turned over to Kuwaiti police, said Capt. Darrin Theriault, a 3rd Infantry Division officer.
NBC’s David Bloom reported that the lead troops of the 3rd Infantry Division, accompanied by the “Raging Bulls” tank company, were on the border with Iraq, having moved from a staging area to an attack position.
Earlier, one tank company commander told troops to take down the U.S. flags from the tops of their tanks. “We will be entering Iraq as an army of liberation, not domination, so it would not be right to go in with the American flag flying,” Capt. Philip Wolford said.

Well some of the Iraqi people want peace, especially some of those that were picked to die by Sadaam.
I hope they continue to surrender in droves.

I wonder if these were the guys that tried to surrender last week, but were told to go home because the war hadnt started yet.

They're just the beginning. I'm afraid we might be so overwhelmed by the sheer number of defecting Iraqis that our offense stalls. This might be the first time in history that an attacking force will tell the defenders to stop surrendering.
