I've been reading the papers and news mags and watching the various TV news channels lately and have noticed that the back packs being lugged around by our Army and Marine troops are HUGE! What do they carry in those things, Abrams tanks?

By the way, let's all say a prayer that our men and women who go in harm's way will return home safely. They need all the support they can get.

MOPP (Military Oriented Protective Posture) gear (suit, boots, gloves) in the rucksack, mask is on the left side at the hip. At least a three day basic load of ammo, water, MRE, plus each man's share of the unit BL (claymores, demo, etc.) Those rucks weigh at least 60 pounds. Close with and destroy the enemy, Follow me.... And keep your head down. :banghead:
