Just a pet peeve of mine, but I really hate multiple exclamation points.

So what software are you using to make these?

I noticed that you seem to like to run you're kerning real tight ... which can work if its done right (its not here).

Also ... it would look lots better with typographic quotes instead of inch and footmarks :p

Oh ... and i agree on the multiple exclimation points (with only one you could spread the kerning on that section out a bit).

And remember the two font rule ... never use more then two fonts in any one piece (multiple fonts from the same family don't count).

Robin Williams (not the actor) has a lot of good columns on effective use of typeography (actually several books on the subject as well).

Is it legal to use pictures of U.S. Senators while they're still in office?

Skunk,
You just about killed me with that one word. That's poetry. Beautiful.

Before lecturing us on the abstract science of kerning, how about learning spelling, sytax and punctuation? :scrutiny:

First things first........

I'm a graphic designer, not a copywriter ... so :neener:

I have nothing to add to this thread, but I felt compelled to post a reply for some reason.

I thought these were Supreme Court Justices.

Oh. Sorry. After they've been feeding at the public trough awhile, they all start to look alike.

Oh yes-we want people to associate gun owners with The Three Stooges. :banghead:

Are gun owners Larry, or Moe?

You wouldn't be with the VPC, would you?

Haven't made the quantum leap from pictures to words yet?

This brings up an interesting point. If a picture is worth a thousand words, how many words' worth is a picture containing words?

Since we're all nitpicking each other's posts, Tory what's with your use of sic several times in the middle of a quote.

Sic indicates the quote is intentionally so written, used after a printed word or passage to indicate it exactly reproduces the original. So when quoting a whole phrase or sentence, it's customary to put sic after the close quotes.

I don't get it. (The poster, that is.)

It's easy. The two alphabet agents are counting the number of foreign-made parts in that citizen's auditory canals. :uhoh:

The alimentary canal parts count will immediately follow.
