Yesterday the WI state assembly passed, by a margin of 82 to 16, a bill which would allow retired peace officers to carry concealed weapons. The bill, AB40, is now headed to the state senate.

This same bill passed last year, but by a smaller margin, which may bode well for the passage of "civilian" concealed carry later this session.

This is a good thing. Now, what about the right of commoners to keep and bear arms?
