I sucked. Yep groups so big you'd think I was shooting a shot gun at 100 yards. I was shooting my CZ452 Varmint which is a tack driver on it's own and my Marlin 882SS .22 Mag. Managed one group at 100 yards with the 452 that was about .75 inch but everything else was all over the place.

All that being said..........BOY IT WAS A FUN DAY. Good shooting, bad shooting, hell any shooting is fun......well target shooting not serious social stuff.

Sheslinger on the other hand was like some Terminator. She was shooting her HK USC at 50 yards iron sights off hand and just nailing small shoot and see targets. It was freaky actually two guys at the range just looked at me smiled and shook their heads with a grin. She was kicking butt with the M1A as well.

Her M1A did clear my sinuses out though :D

Thinking I might sell/trade the Marlin for an iron sighted CZ452. Nothing wrong with the gun I just like the 452 better and don't shoot .22 maggie all that much.

All in all still a fun day at the range.

Chris

Spent an hour at the indoor range today too. Took only the 1911 (Kimber) and the Ruger Mark II 678target.
Managed some nice groups with the .22 at 10 yards.
A younger guy on my right and an older guy on the left both shooting .45's (Glock and springer 1911 respectively) were all over the target.
My tight, aimed groups were better, but the fun factor took over.
I started double-tapping and working on getting back on target quick. Much more fun!
An hour of recoil therapy does wonders for the soul, doesn't it? :p

had a day like that last weekend. I was shooting bad.http://glocktalk.com/images/smilies/puke.gif

best I could with my 223 10FP was 3/4", 5 shots. I've shot 1/2" many times, but not that day.

the highlight, though, was shooting a few rounds through this bad boy...

It looks like a Blaser R93 tactical rifle.

There is something cool about those skeletony modular-looking precision rifles :D

How'd you like it?

It's a SIG Blaser and it is one of "those" uber cool guns.

yes, its a Blazer R93. this one was 300 win mag. was talking to a guy at the range about his AR. he was wanting to try some heavier bullets in it since it was a 1/7 twist. all he had were 55gr, some I gave some of my Black hills match 68gr to try. when I walked over to see how it did, he asked me if I wanted to shoot the Blazer. DUHH!!!

awesome piece of machinery! the straight-pull bolt is slick.

How is its accuracy?

as mentioned, I was shooting poorly that day. in spite of that, and the other factors; first time shooting it, the initimidation factor, etc...., I shot a 1/2" grp at 100yds.

which means it is capable of one-hole groups with a more competent shooter. ;)

with the muzzle brake, it kicked less than my 308 savage. ;)
