Spinnerblade

Hi everyone, first time poster long time reader.
I was at Bass Pro Shops the other day and got to handle some X2s. The sporting clays and lightweight models seemed to fit the best.
The sporting clays model had a 30 inch barrel, which is a little longer than I like, and seemed quite a bit heavier than the Light Field.
Does anyone know if the lightweight x2 model is as rugged and reliable as the regular x2? And where does the weight savings come from?
The X2 I get will be used as an all around shotgun.
Any other things I should be considering before I buy?
Thanks, Patrick
