I'm particularly proud of the Jeff Cooper interview on SG running this week!

BTW, we won first and second place in the CONSUMER TELEVISION division of NSSF's Good Shots/Great Stories competition this year. Last year, we won first and third. I insisted on being in the CONSUMER TELEVISION division, as opposed to the lower "shooting ducks in a barrel" divisions because I wanted to compete directly with ESPN, PBS and the network outdoor shows! We also picked up a cable award, one of two Outdoor Channel shows to do so.

THANKS FOR WATCHING!

This morning I saw for the first time the new intro for "American Rifleman."

I must say, it was one of the most striking bits of pro-gun video I've ever seen.

If you missed it, it starts with a group of guys in 1770s garb running through woods to ominous background music. The video is very professionally done, and looks downright cinematic.

The guys in period costume are shown pulling up alongside some trees, and firing flintlock rifles at unseen targets (presumably British regulars marching towards Concord).

Then, the figures in the video morph into men in later period dress with later period firearms....always rifles.

I recall Civil War troops with rifled muskets, and WWI dougboy with a Springfield 1903, and WWII grunt with a Garand, and Special Forces guy in a jungle with an M14. There's one modern hunter with a scoped, bolt action rifle.

But the video is outstanding.

Is it availble as a trailer somewhere on the Internet?

If it's not, it oughta be!
