My gunsmith is going out of business...and I have a revolver in need of fixing. His only recommendation is a smith located wayyyy down south, too far to go.

Do any of you Oregon folks have any smiths in the area you recommend???

Rich's Gun Shop 10791 Oak Street NE. Donald, OR 97020 ... 789-5974. Spendy, but he does good work. There's also Alison and Carey in Gresham. I've never seen any of their work, but I've heard good things.

Keith's in Gresham has a gunsmith. He did a pretty good job on my Flash Suppressor. Call 'em.

I stumbled onto Revelation earlier today in an internet search.....
I had never heard of him before, and it turns out he has been there 30 years. He works out of a shop behind his house. The shop was set up with good looking, well used equipment. We'll see how it goes

thanks for the input.

Forest Grove has the Powder Horn. Good prices, good work, better turn-around than some. Seems to specialize in older stuff, so if you're looking to have a Picatinny rail put on your SuperTac BFG Ultra Tactical 5.56 AR clone, be prepared to be smirked at a bit.

503-357-4570 is the number.

I don't know if he was orygunmike's, but Don Norris in Beaverton was closing down 6/30/2005.

I haven't had Roger at Revelation Arms do any smithing work for me, but the NFA guys speak well of him, and he certainly appears to do a lot of work on some serious guns.

Stan at Al's Gunshop in Verboort/Forest Grove really knows his stuff. 503.357.2441

I will sure vouch for Stan's work. But beware. Stan has sold Al's and I don't know how much longer he will be around. Call and find out before you just show up.

Thank god!

That guy is.... well he was such an ass to me & even after 8-10 transfers he tried to rip me off... He was one of the reasons I'm getting my FFL and starting my own gun business... Oregon's gun owners deserve better
