Question on quick entry handgun safes

Does anyone know of any safe that has a light or some other indicator on it that will go off if there is an attempt (unsuccessful) to open it? I've looked around a bit but haven't found anything.

I'm not aware of one.

Mine are the old Simplex , I think they have another name now.
No battery, just buttons one uses in a sequence, combo may be changed.

I do know some that have used the portable alarm from Radio Shack inside, home or office use, if 'box' is moved, alarm alerts someone has been around. Placed inside its still loud, as a secretary found out when she moved the "humidor" on the bosses desk...she wan't supposed to be in there...

The gun vaults will lock out when an incorrect code is entered so many times. They also have a led indicator that will tell you if their was an invalid attempt to get in.

This one does. I had one. It's okay. I didn't like that it beeped when you pressed the keys, nor that the pad lit up when you started pressing keys. Either one could signal a burgler to hurry and shoot me before I get my gun out.

The Mossberg Quick Access will let you know, but I think it is after 3 failed attemps at which time it locks down and then later when you have the code and open it, you get a audible to let you know somebody without the code tried to get in.

I was just thinking about having a visible signal to show the kids that if they messed with it that I would know about it. Given that, they probably wouldn't mess with it in the first place.

The Gunvault (linked above) also makes quiet beeps as you press the buttons but you can disable it if you want.
