Just finished a great book about US Army Special Forces operations in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.

The Hunt For Bin Laden: Task Force Dagger (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0375508619/qid=1048183988/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-9059942-0648945?v=glance&s=books) by Robin moore

Great descriptions of how a pretty small number of US operators worked with the Northern Alliance troops to defeat the Taliban and AQ forces. The book is unabashedly "rah-rah" towards the Special Forces teams, but I found it interesting and informative. Recommended for any THR-ers with an interest in the spec-ops community.

Just disregard any mention of a dude named "Jack" in the book. He is a self-aggrandizing con artist who conned Robin Moore into thinking he was Rambo. He frosted a lot of the SOF community with his actions in the stan and they are NOT what occured on the ground. "Jack" is a convicted felon con-artist. Other than, the book is supposed to be pretty good.

Haven't read the book yet.Is this the same Robin Moore
that wrote "The Green Berets"?
It turns out he was ah...how shall I say, creative with the truth.
(made most of it up!)
