Any Kowa 661 owners here?

I found myself wanting a good highpower scope when I shot a Garand match a few months ago, so I shelled out for a Kowa 661 and a 25x LER eyepiece.

I found it easier to look into the scope when I took the rubber off the eyepiece. Unfortunately, you can't put the eyepiece cover on the eyepiece if you take the rubber piece off. Anyone see a good solution for an eyepiece cover without using the rubber piece? I figure I can keep taking off the rubber piece at the range, but it's just one more thing to lose.

I haven't looked at the Kowa eyepieces, but if it's anything like any other rubber eye cup, you can just fold it back over itself instead of taking it off.

Yeah, I was looking at that in the Creedmoor catalog. I may have to get one. Didn't want to have to spend $40, but small price to pay to protect the scope.
