Wish me luck!

I'm off to downtown San Francisco to pick up the wife from work; taking the Aprilia motorcycle and pepper spray!

Ok, and one Glock.

The protesters have been blocking traffic all over the city all day long and there have been reports of them breaking the windows of vehicles trying to get through (hence the motorcycle- figure I can weave through the crowd if I have to.) And a news chopper caught one driver who got out of his vehicle to try and move the protesters- and they beat the crap out of him and took his keys.
And these people are for peace?

This truly does suck.

Take your AR's with you.

And your Shotguns.

And anything else you can.

Seriously.

I've seen your pic, I know you are well-armed.

Traitors, friends of the enemy, and rioters should all be shot on sight.

Those (to call them vermin, slime, scum, etc. is a compliment, so I don't really know what to call them) in SF are all of the above.

Best of luck, eh? Pity San Francisco doesn't have law enforcement.

Wow.

What a mess. Ok so the wife and I are back and all’s cool, but DAMN.

I mean… they (the protesters) have shut down a few of the off ramps from the Bay Bridge and traffic is stopped all over the city. Law enforcement is out in force but they seem to be letting the mobs do what they want. They’re making hundreds of arrests and they’ve commandeered about a dozen city buses and are using them to transport the people in custody to a holding area at Pier 27.

Two busses that were full passed us and I mean standing room only, full of officers in full riot gear, helmets and shields, head toward the Civic Center.

Few broken windows in some of the shops on Market Street- seems that McDonalds and Starbucks took the most hits.

Glad I took the motorcycle.

Damn, this city is nuts.

Glad you're back.

You learned and passed on some stuff.

Maybe it will be useful. :what:

News article link (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,81448,00.html)

I gather from the news article this is a well orchestrated effort to disrupt. They are not fools however, concentrating on the whining liberal centers. If they tried this in mainstream America the good folks would just run over them and get on with business.

Motorcycle!? During a potential riot!?

Bigger brass ones than me. Although you'd get some great mobility, I cannot imagine it provides anything "structural" around me in a "riot" than it would in an accident, not to mention the "not so heavy"-class of enclosed truck-thing.

To each his own & glad y'all're back safe 'n sound.

Just damn.
