Hi all-
I was browsing the CMP website and saw this:
Greek .30-06 (http://estore.odcmp.com/store/catalog/catalog.aspx?pg=product&ID=415&item=&sfv=&cat=AMC&desc=&udc=&mct=&vndr=&ba=&pmin=&pmax=&note1=&note2=&note3=&note4=&note5=&max=)

Greek .30-06 Ammo HXP (Pyrkal) manuf/boxer primed-480 rds/cs
Greek .30-06 ammunition. HXP (Pyrkal) manufacture. Boxer
primed. 480 rounds per case. Packaged in 20 round cartons,
12 cartons per spam can. 2 spam cans per wooden case.
Weight of case 41 lbs. Price is $100.00 per case, $17.00
S&H per case.

Anyone have any experience with this stuff? This wouldn't be the same as Olympic ammo, would it?
Thanks for any input you can give me,
Nic

My question is: Why won't they ship the ammo that is in the clips?

No, it's Prykal is not related to Olympic.

The CMP Greek ammo is HXP headstamped military surplus. It is listed under the "Commercial Ammo" section only because the CMP purchased the ammunition, so technically, it counts as commercial.

The form of packaging that has the ammo in clips is not available for mail order due to the weight constraints. The CMP will have to repackage the clipped ammunition in for mail order constraints. And according to the CMP, they are not going to do this at this time because they do not have the time for it right now, especially with the events at Camp Perry coming up.

Besides, you can get clips anywhere.

I didn't plan on ordering any Greek HXP because I prefer LC, but I ordered a 480 round case since it was only $117 and wasn't too much to spend to play around with the stuff. My case is scheduled to arrive this Thursday, so I guess I'll chrono the stuff next weekend.
