Are these available yet? Anyone have one?

Does anyone know if they are planning to make a K45 or T45?

While they have been advertised for about six months I am still waiting for one to arrive from the factory for evaluation. Obviously some glitch arose and Kahr is holding them back until it is rectified. I like that from a gun company.

I had heard that this model would be launched May/June. Just today I received an Email from Kahr stating that it would be available in California by the end of the year. Anyone know what is holding things up? Maybe it is that special unique casing ID code stamping that has them late. I would love to shoot it prior to purchase. I haven't any idea how a very light semi-auto pistol feels when a 850fps/230gr bullet goes down range. I've always appreciated a bit of heft in my .45 ACP guns.

"Good Morning! Thank you for your email. The P45 has started shipping. However, we do have a large back log that we are working the fill, it will be a couple of weeks before they are circulating steadily. If you have any furthe questions, please feel free to contact us.

Thank You

I handled one in June at the Police Expo in Atlantic City, NJ. It is small and lightweight, but I wasn't to impressed with the quality of the frame. I would rather have seen a stainless model introduced prior to a polymer version. (On defense of Kahr, I have to admit that I have yet to find a polymer frame that meets my standards in quality)

I also found the trigger pull to be not as nice as the S&W and Beretta DAO's. It felt similar to SIG models, in terms of trigger shape and pull.

I am not happy with the quality of the frame of my Kahr P-9. I still love the K-9s that I have and I would buy a K-45 even though I am not a huge .45acp fan. A K-45 seems like a modern day Bulldog.
