I have NIB 4 inch 19-4 and would like a production date. The serial numer is: 51K26XX

I was going to keep it as a collectable, but it just longs to be shot......hard decision!!

It was made in 1978 or 1979.

If it is LNIB I would keep it thst way, as they are becoming collectables in this condition. There are a lot of used shooter-grade revolvers which are available that were police trade-in's a few years back.

But to each his own ... ;)

Thanks. I do believe I won't shoot it. There's not even a cylinder turn ring on it. It has all factory papers, even the ammo and holster ads in the box. I have a newer 19-7 that I can blast away with.
