Taurus Tracker Question

Does anybody know if they make wood finger-groove grips for the Taurus 617 and 627 series of 7-shot 357s? Those rubber grips are good for soaking up recoil, but they tend to bind and "grab" sweaters and shirts used as covering material. I'm thinking wood grips would be a better choice for less resistance against a covering garment.

Also, the rubber grips are secured at the base of the grip and frame by an allen screw. I've not removed the rubber grips, so does the Taurus have side-mounted screw holes like other revolvers?

I'd be interested to see some aftermarket grips on a tracker. My wife loves the rubber bicycle grips... but they're not going to last forever.

Look on the right side of the grips for a small screw to remove the grips. Don't try to remove the Taurus metal cover on the other side.

Once you remove the screw on the right side of the grips, gently pry them off the frame.

Bulldozer: I've been searching for some wood grips for my Taurus Tracker 627. So far the only place i've found them is this web site: http://www.nill-shop.com
I think they're in Germany. But I don't want wood grips that bad. Their price ranges from $136.00 to $172.00.
It's a 4" x 2" hunk of wood for crying out loud. I'm not paying that for one. LOL
